Wow, been a while since I've visited the site.

Hello All!

Not much new.  Just wanted to mention the take down and cleaning. I have hubby do it. ::)   Hee-hee.

We have a deal tho, I clean one of his if he cleans mine.
She needs a little more hand strength than I have. Or were
doing it wrong?

Welcome 3bus!  It does take some doing to hold the slide!  I think you're doing it right.

It's been a while since I've been here. Good to see everyone.
Hope you all are enjoying your summer.

I just got my baby a smartcarry. Very comfortable but
have to be careful what I wear as it can make me look like
I have ummm, man parts if my shirt is too small.
http://www.smartcarry.com/

Ordered the number 11 from Jim at Hidden Holsters.
Looking forward to using that one.

Got the take down and cleaning part of her care.
For the life of me and cannot get her spring back in
when I put her back together. Have to get hubby to do it.

Hi and welcome back.
I use one of IDMpart.com's 2in1 RJ tools to manage the spring:

My solution

It makes putting it back together a snap! I've also read on this forum how someone made a similar tool from a tooth brush handle -- so if the IDM store is out of stock that might be an alternative.

I also use an IWB (made by Robert Locke mecopocketholsters.com) for my R9 almost exclusively. Pocket holsters don't work for me and I rarely carry a purse. I'll bet you will like it.

Just in case it helps Re: smartcarry - I have one too that I use with gym shorts or sweat pants. I wear it higher (just below my waist band area) instead of lower on the hips as recommended on the smartcarry website. It just works better for me and is much more comfortable -- and conceals best for me.  It sits about the height as the IWB holster.

Thank you MrsFosforos!

WILL get me that tool.  I don't want to have to ask for help
every time I clean her.   Also the smartcarry advice.
Glad to get it. It is soooo soft and comfortable.  ;)
