Pups in the Quantum of Solace

Can't really recommend going to see it -- but, it does feature a stealth version of everyone's favorite pocket pistol

Indeed it does!

Agent Camille uses the world’s smallest 9mm handgun – a Rohrbaugh R9 – which is so tiny she can neatly conceal it under her trademark short skirts.

Here is a better screen shot to see the R-9.

Interestingly, this is not the first Bond movie that was supposed to feature the R-9, but it wound up on the cutting room floor the last time.

The R-Bros report sales are definitely up -- both due to gun ban fears and in part due to the "Bond" mistique.

Nice press for the worlds smallest 9mm!  Maybe James himself should consider this gun and ditch the PPK once and for all!   ;)

I saw the movie this weekend. I liked it.  If you didn't see Casino Royale, you might have been lost... It is a continuation of the story line of that movie.

Several shots of the R-9, including the "disassembly" scene. (I wonder if she was using a disassembly tool?)

None are so good that a casual observer would definitely make out the gun I don't think -- but very cool nonetheless.  And -- the villan is killed with a single round from the R-9!

Something about the movie--the way it cuts quickly from scene to scene--make the movie seem very fast paced and frantic, but isn't good for identifying guns in the movie!

I hope we see the R-9 in the next movie too.  Its time for Bond to ditch that silly PPK!

Yeah, yeah, old thread, but more photos and comment by ECR at bottom (also note, Camile appears to be ambidextrous):

And here is what Brother ECR had to say on it in a post he did this morning on another forum:

http://www.longislandfirearms.com/forum/m-1308442940.48274/#num14

In "Quantum of Solace", they used our firearm. They were "discussing" that they may even "issue" it to Mr. Bond as his new sidearm. I, for one, do not see that happening, but one can always dream. The fact that is was considered is an honor for us. Camile (Olga Kurylenko) uses it in the movie to kill the bad guy in the end.

Seeing ECR posting so regularly on that other forum, kind of makes you wish he would chime in here on some threads involving  critical issues or concerns.

I think its different...  With a company rep posting on this site, it starts to look like an official forum.  Then some will expect the factory to fact check everything that is here.  I can see why its not in their best interests to post here.  That has been our deal from day one.

However, ECR and others do read the forum regularly and often send information to our members through me or sometimes other forum members.  It's not a bad compromise and gives us a lot more freedom while still being a great source of info.  Besides, the biggest Rohrbaugh knowledge base outside of the factory is right here amongst our veteran members!
