TW,

Did you have much trouble removing the base plate on the magazine, so you could attach the new magazine extension?

>>Hi Bill...

No problems at all removing the base plate.  As a matter of fact the whole process beginning to end took me less than five minutes.  Well...ok - maybe under ten.  Just need to be careful how much to shave off the Kahr extension to fit the R9...but it's easy to see and do.  I got it right the first time, which admittedly is unusual for me.

The pinky extensions really make all the difference in the world for me...TW<<

Thank you, TW.

I'll try it during the initial cleaning.

My Glock 36 (45 auto) had the Pearce +0 extensions.  I really liked them.

But, you know, it was a funny thing.  I later tried it without the extensions and it was just fine!

Maybe the manufacturers know what is best for us.   :)

>>Bill...

I know what you mean about the pearce extensions on baby Gs...  I use them with my Glock 26 and 30 and love them, but without I shoot them just about as well (I love sub compact Glocks!!).  However...my Glocks don't try to chew my fingers up when shooting as do my R9s...!  That's where I see (feel) a big difference...although if I was using an R9 for the intended purpose of close range self defense - I doubt I'd notice the effects on my hand...at least while in use...TW<<

I think that these extensions will be available soon. I have a sample one from the SHOT SHOW. If we all just have a little patience, there goes that word again, they will be available on the web site soon. Lets remember that they are trying to get out guns right now. They are boxing up R9s as I write this.      Tom

Tom-

ANY further word on the factory extensions.  I was reading and then looked at the date of this thread and my eyes bugge out.

Anything?

Thanks

That's a great question.   I find in intersting to see posts from 2005 saying that the factory is working on them and they should be out soon.

These factory grip extensions were plastic or aluminum?  Color?

Thanks for the information.
