Gun Broker Listing with potential cracked slide
« on: May 13, 2014, 09:34:23 AM »
After looking at the pictures of the gun in this listing:
http://www.gunbroker.com/Auction/ViewItem.aspx?Item=415594205

The gun APPEARS to have a cracked slide. For those not familiar with the problem on some guns in this SN range look at the slide at the very back of the gun about half way up the slide.

I noticed that there is now a bid so any potential buyer should contact the seller and have them send more detailed pictures and ask if the slide is cracked.

Hope this helps someone.

I recall they were in the 500-800 range but that could vary because the S/Ns aren't chronologically sequential. Also, one would have to view this gun from the rear to see the crack if it is there.

Looks like the gun sold. Will be interesting to see if the new owner finds this thread when they notice the cracked slide.
