i wanted to put a bunch of rounds through it before i rely on it enough to carry it so if it was going to hiccup, i would most likely find out within 150 rounds. I spent 24 years carrying a S&W model 10 and/or model 36, both simple and solidly reliable revolvers, so if i am going to have one gun on me, i want it to have thrown a bunch of lead downrange without any problems. I got spoiled for years just pulling the trigger and not worrying about jams, FTF's, FTE's, etc... so i want no problems from a carry gun. My Kahr P380 works flawlessly even at this point after more than 1000 rounds (after sending it back to the factory after having it one day, but that's another story). Even my two Seecamps have fired a few hundred rounds each after Larry Seecamp fixed both of them to the point where they work perfectly. In a semi-auto, if i get two malfunctions, i try different ammo. If i get a third, it goes back to the factory for tune-up. No way would i carry a pistol that malfunctioned with different brands of ammo without the factory looking it over. Then when i get it back again, i put hundreds of rounds through it before i consider it reliable. If i wanted 1 or 2 guaranteed shots out of a gun, i could carry a derringer and really conceal it. if i carry anything bigger, it better function perfectly. Like I say, i got spoiled by those two revolvers over the years. I even went years without cleaning either of them, and they always went bang when i wanted them to...
