It was reported that the Army desired more safety features than the Glock provides, which didn't seem to deter LE agencies from adopting the Glock to a large degree.

Well Glock is not perfection either.  Ask IMPD about their new 17Ms (same one the FBI chose) and them being pulled from service and sent back to Glock because of problems.

Just don't see what the new pistol does significantly better than the Beretta.

I shot the Beretta for the first time in the military.  Got one as soon as left the service and have had zero issues with it.  Solid pistol.

(I do like watching the Glock Fanbois cry when one kabooms or gets bad publicity, LOL.)

Reported, the cost to the Army was down to just $207 each.  Heck of a deal, I'd pick up one for that, LOL.

Now ALL the ghetto trash will want these. When the LEO's went to Glocks ALL the 'wannabes' wanted Glocks. Then the Army picked Beretta. BINGO. Everyone HAD TO have a Beretta. If they had 1/2 a brain they would realize both the LEO's and Army partially base their picks on PRICE, also on them must being made in America.

Other firearms FAR outperformed both of these but they didn't want to relocate to America. The Army Mean Round Between Failure rate was 1-495. The CZ-PO1 went ONER 2500 MRBF. Guess what I own? ;D ;D ;D ;D
