I was wondering what age groups pup owners fall into, an exact number is not required just the range.
#0 = 19 and Under
#1 = 20 to 30
#2 = 31 to 40
#3 = 41 to 50
#4 = 51 to 60
#5 = 61 and up
I just hit the last group (#5) in Feb. :o
John

John. #5.

What is the point of this census poll?
-
No real point other than an idea of what age group if any, the majority of Rohrbaugh owners are.
I think the bi-focal post got me thinking about it. ;D
It seems the younger generation has a preference for the poly frame guns over the metal frame.
John
-
John. It seems like most are not willing to reveal their age even in a range. At the time of this post 34 had viewed and only 2 had given their range. Some may have been guests.

# 5. (Old age and cunning over youth and exuberance. ;))
Edit: Typo. (Can't type for **** today.)
-
What happened to #0 (10 to 19) ?
Guess I can't "poll" up... ;D
-
John, #5 and breathing right down #6's neck. Gene

Enigma:
My Heuristically programmed ALgorithmic Computer ("HAL") has you at 29. But then, he may have picked up a virus from one of "Newbie's" posts over at that other site. 8)
-
A mature 5. ;) Looks like the 5's are winning.
-
5 it is.
-
P7, sorry I didn't mean to exclude any groups and have ammended the poll. ;D
I know several members have there age displayed in there profile and
I didn't see the poll as being invasive.
I saw a similar post to this this on a Kimber site and it generated a pretty large response.
John

I like it. Interesting to see what the largest range will be.

29!!...Schweet!...now I'd believe that if my man boobs were a little more perkier :P
-
P7. So now we know it's not 29. ;D Give the range. ;D

See. It helps to talk about it! ;D

WOW , I can't believe you laid the guilt trip on me about excluding your age group, and got me to change the post. >:( ;D
John
-
John. P7 was just wishful thinking! ;D
-
Yep...theres a crackpot on every forum and if he's not a "newbie" then it must be an "enigma"
-
However, never boring! ;D
-
3 pushing 4
-
A young #5. But remember don't pick a fight with an old man...he might not have any fight left in him....so he will shoot you. ;D
-
My plan exactly. Too old to fight or run. ;D
John
-
H*** f***, I've found that the older I get the better I become -- with a little help from the miracles of modern medicine (and my time on running the quarter-mile excepted). ;)
-
To expand on that thought, the older I get the better I used to be.
-
As Toby Keith put in the song.
"I ain't as good as I once was, But I'm as good once as I ever was"
John
-
Yep. And the older I get, the better I like it; considering the alternative. It's amazing, how age changes one's perception of things.
-

aged..like fine scotch or bourbon...of which, is the best medicine!
-
WAIT a gosh darn minute...I'm not a young #5 I'm a young #4. I must have been drinking last night or you changed the scale?
-
OK, Dino. Which one is it, a 4 or 5? ;D
-
Most of the time I feel like a #1 but my wife will say I act like a #0, which I guess I do sometimes.
However at night after a good workout I feel like a #9!
But put me down for a #5.....I think.
-
and I thought I was bad.....
-
Not bad, just slightly aged, like fine........whatever! ;D ;D
-
Friday 3:55pm leaving work, great day, going home now, have a cocktail with my wife, dinner with another couple.... and then I plan on being a #0!
-
Now that's a plan! Enjoy that #0 time! :) ;)
-
I'm old, but I'm very immature.
-
I'm old, but I'm very immature.
I can relate to that. ;D
John
-
I'm old, but I'm very immature.
I think the line is you're: "Growing old disgracefully". ;D
-
Quiet1, now thats funny and my new favorite saying.

Forty is the old age of youth; fifty is the youth of old age. Victor Hugo
-
Forty is the old age of youth; fifty is the youth of old age. Victor Hugo
Guess that puts me right about in the "purgatory" range...
-
You said that, not me! ;D ;D
-
Currently a #3... ;D
in a month I'll be a #4
-
Not to worry; you're going into the youth of old age! ;D Victor Hugo
-
Im a #4 on the shady side of the street :)
-
# 4 Reinz
I'm not so vein that I won't reveal my age.
I admit, I'm an old fat, balding, gun addict.
Reinz
-
Remember, Reinz; #4 is the youth of old age, which is a good thing! :)
-
#5...and counting!
-
It is definitely good to still be counting. ;D
-
Speaking of counting, where are we going with this one?
-
Last time I counted, there was only a few members that have answered, so I would say, on going.
-
#2 = 31 to 40
-
Maybe by the time this census has a quorum we can all add 1 to our original answer.
-
#3 for me.
-

Yes, may take awhile.
-
After a brief scrutiny of the "forum" tools, I noticed no "poll" option.... would have been interesting to look at the stats in a "bargraph format"....PCT use to have that function but after the software change I don't see one over there anymore either....
Could run a spreadsheet, but Yeah, I'm a lazy bastard and I would be a # 9 before I was done with it :o
-
P7. Don't admit that you're lazy! Not good for one's well being. ;D
-

But it makes EVERYONE ELSE look good!

Sure! It just dosen't help you! I know, you're helping others. ;D

Yep...my patience is good, just waiting for the rest of the world to be lazier than me!
-
Hey, shouldn't Yankee2500 give us the census tally, he was the one that started all this?
Yankee2500 while you are at it get rid of that bug running around your name plate. ;D
-
You know, I was thinking the same thing. Everytime I see it, I want to swat it; natural reaction. ;D
-

I've swatted it repeatedly...now my monitors cracked...must be an Egyptian fly
-
Careful. It may escape into your house. :D

yam,
Welcome to the group.
I will do a tally as soon as I get time to wade through the posts, and find the ones that count. ;D
John
-
Looks like the five's have it, barely.
-
John, that avatar looks so familar. Was'nt he the kid playing the banjo in Deliverance? Gene
-
Well he sure has the "pretty lips" part down pat..... Eeeiiggch
-
Surely, Sandra Bullock is available to replace him and the evasive cockroach.
-
She's got my vote! ;D
-
It is a good thing for her and the bike dude that she didn't own a pup.

Yam, welcome to the best gun forum on the internet. Hope you get as much out of it, and as much enjoyment from it, as I do. Gene
-
Yam. It has been awhile. You were here a little before me, however, welcome back. Post often.
-
Thank you for a warm welcome. I joined this forum a while back while searching for my back-up gun. I finally bought a 9RS from a forum member. Shot it a few rounds and it just stopped working (the slide was locked in place). Sent it to the factory, got it back, shot another few rounds and it stopped again. Sent it back again; after I got it back the second time it seemed to work fine. Went through a qualification course last month without a hitch, I’m a happy camper now. I want to publicly thank Mr. Rohrbaugh for standing 110% behind his product.
-
Yam. Glad it all worked out. Now, enjoy.

Did they say what the problem was, and do you know how they resolved the problem?
John

John. You haven't done the Census count yet! ;D

OK, for what it's worth (not much) it appears of the 19 replies :o
seven are #5 (61 and over) six are #4 (51-60) four are #3 (41-50) two are #2 (31-40) and there were no members under age 30.
So with this information I will contact the makers of Depends and see if they can incorporate a pistol pocket in the mens Depends. ;D
John
-
John:
See if they'll add two smaller pockets, one for a spare magazine and another for the . . . how shall I say this . . . "prescriptions." ;)
-
Excellent. Designer depends! ;D
-
To quote Dylan Thomas, I shall "not go gentle into that good night." 8)

And another line from Dylan Thomas's poem:
Old age should burn and rave at close of day. :)

I'll will go ahead and take this cencus:

or summer or fall. CDG had some jet engines mounted on the runways to blow away the fog in winter so you could still slip down to the left bank even in February. One one my worst weather mistakes was going to Istanbul in January; very cold and windy on the Bosphorus.

John
Only as old as you feel! Oh! Man! Sometimes, I wonder! ;D
-
Some days start out feeling 30 and end feeling 80. (or what I can imagine 80 feels like) :o
John

The low side of #3.
