Welcome from another guy in NC, I started with a stock R9s and sent it to Robar for the complete NP3 treatment, couldn't be happier.

Welcome from NC as well.  I have the stealth and love it.  I have been debating over the NP3 treatment from Robar but still not sure.  I may just have to get another one and have it done.  Where in NC are you?

How about yourself?

I hate that there is alot of negative opinions floating around in "forum land" about the R9s....

I am in Charlotte.  I read all the bad things as well.  But honestly.  I have carried a lot of weapons and this is the one I will always easily cary.  Love the way it shoots and in my opinion the best cary self defense pistol.

Welcome Bryan to the best gun forum on the internet. Like you I see a lot of people bad-mouthing the pup. Most of whom have never fired or even seen a rohrbaugh. A lot of it is "sticker shock" I think. I have no objection to that, they know what their life is worth. Again welcome and post often.   Gene

It's more of a disorder, and the diagnosis is "Pupaphilia" ;D

Rather than "joining a cult," I prefer to think of it as "embarking on the path of true enlightenment."   ;D

Seriously, though, if there has ever been a finer pocket pistol than the R9, I have yet to find it in my seven decades on this third rock from the sun.

Bryan, good to see you here. I enjoyed our conversation. It appears that alot of guys here like the Robar Rohrbaugh R9s. Let me know and welcome to our forum/family. Enjoy it and post often.  Tom

Bryan.  Don't think of the Forum as a cult, by no means; just a fun place to learn and relate about your favorite pocket pistol.    :)

I would term this forum as a group of enthusiasts with a common bond, the R9.

Can't go wrong with either one. ( I have 2 stealths and love 'em and I know the robar finish is great too)
On your other question-- the Hogue Extreme grips are highly recommended-- they make a big difference in holding the pup firmly.  You may also want to consider a mag extension-- jeffsig makes a very nice one --they're available on this forum

Thanks guys,
Well I found a stray that needs a home.
I should have a new robar finish in my pocket by tomorrow afternoon!

Just need to get the proper puppy chow.

Next up is a proper holster, do most carry in rear or front pocket? I've read thru the holster section, but still couldn't decipher what is a preferred holster.
