belt slide holster
« on: April 30, 2005, 12:27:56 AM »
I know, I know, what am I doin' carrying a pocket pistol in a belt slide holster?  Well, I wear a suit or sport coat/slacks to work every day, and it's just more comfortable not to have my R9s riding in my pocket.  I use an inexpensive Uncle Mike's "Sidekick" black nylon belt slide holster (I've foregotten if it has a stock/model number) which is designed, I think, for the Keltec but fits the R9s like a glove.  Since the holster pulls the gun into the waist snugly, the gun simply disappears under a jacket or tails-out shirt.  The holster is amidextrous, and you can remove or reposition the velcro retention strap.  (I removed the strap: tension created by my belt holds the gun well enough for normal activities, although it might come loose in a fall.)  Uncle Mike's stuff is cheap and well made; I suspect it will remain my R9s's "ride" until Fobus makes a paddle holster for it.
