Steve and Tom,

I really hope you are right because I desperatly want this pistol to function.  On top of the other ammo I am going to see if I can get some 110gr Silvertips for the next(2nd) range trip also.  Thanks for the ammo recomendations.

I recently made an error by stating that the Silvertip 9mm ammo was 110 gr.  Wrong!

It is 115 gr.

I was looking at my 38 Special ammo, which is 110 gr.

Sorry,

Bill

No problem Bill, that is just one less box of ammo I will have to search for.

On the subject of ammo: I went through all of my ammo
inventory today and made some discoveries; I had about
30 boxes of Black Talon in 9mm., .40, and .45. There were
about 500 rounds of 7.62x39--in short supply, plus hundreds
of rounds of other ammo which all may eventually be in short
supply.
One interesting thing: 3 months ago in Houston at Academy
Sports Shop, 9mm. WWB was selling for 4.99; 2 months ago
it sold for 5.99; today it is 6.99. Is there a message here?

Yup, copper prices have more than doubled in the last few months -- one of my buddies is in that industry, said it happens every time there's a pretty big war -- countries start using a lot more ammo/building stock piles, etc -- my guess is that lead may have had a similar jump.

Not to mention nickel, zinc, gold, silver, titantium, etc.

why would a person want to use the heavy bullet in this short barrel weapon?  I would think expansion would be nil and
recoil increased.  many of the "experts" are recommending against this heavy bullet for any combat purpose.  I may be able to locate a link or 2 on it if anyone is interested.
It would seem to me the better round for this short, light pistol would be the 115 GDHP.
