Mags have shipped today from Charlottesville, VA via USPS Priority Mail. Please let me know if by next week at this time you have not received your mags.

They have some stainless mags in stock and can be purchased individually directly from Checkmate - Ask for Brendon 631-491-1777 They know about Rohrabugh/Remington and arnt interested in selling all the remaining stainless mags to one or two people only to have them jack up the prices on Gun Broker. So if you want a small number they will sell them to you at a fair price - no funny business.

I bought, among a few other things for my R9,2 mags from Williams.I then posted this on the forum that they were getting a bit low on that item.I regret posting that shortage because it seems they ran out when you called them.At the time I didn't, but should have thought about someone hoarding them for profit.
Either way, you can count on me for 3 for sure.

Thanks Johnny. I don't think this is your fault. Williams only ever had 5 black mags and not a lot of stainless so I just think they did not have many to start.

Rich - it is my understanding that these are already made OEM stainless mags that they would just apply the bluing process to so they should have the logo on the baseplate. I will confirm before I order thought.

Eric said somewhere that the R9 magazines were patterned after the Colt Pocket Nine.

Actually, not 100%. The original springs were ten coils, which we found not to work that well as they were too slow in raising the rounds due to the fast action of our slides. We went to a 13 coil mag spring and it was too much spring. 12 coils work best on the R9.

I just called the R9 magazine OEM to ask if more than 100 magazines can be run through the bluing process. The person at the R9 magazine OEM who is coordinating the group buy is out until April 10th but they are going to try to get me an answer before then.

If they can do more than 100 at a time than I will leave the group ordering open until April 10th at 9AM EST after which I will call the company and order however many people had requested.

If they are limited to 100 per batch the first 100 folks who replied will get the magazines. There was one member who offered to take fewer so others could have some if it is an issue but we can coordinate that only if it is necessary.

I will post an update as soon as they get back to me.

If you decide on this avenue, the members need to realize that they need to pay an extra 3% as you will be charged that by PayPal. The only way to get around the 3% charge is if we all say that we are sending funds to a family member. Do you need the correct spelling of my last name for your will?

Yea I had two of the original mags that came with my first R9s and the springs were terrible. Jams all the time. I even thought to myself the springs seemed very weak. I called you guys asking for a warranty replacement and the nice lady said two new style magazine springs would be sent out. They fixed all the problems my R9s had. Wish I had kept that one!

I will follow up with PhsychoSword to see if he wants black or if he just wants to buy the SS from the factory at $40 each.

I will also calculate best shipping options with I think will be USPS flat rate boxes and will PM each person who placed an order with payment info.

Once most of the money is collected I will place the order.

The contact I have been working with at Checkmate is back in the office and we played phone tag today. Hopefully tomorrow I will be able to connect with him and will place the order. I have been hesitant to collect anyone's money yet until I can confirm the order with them. I am currently planning on ordering 130 mags which would allow everyone who posted to get what they asked for. I was expecting the mags last week and hope to have them early this week. I guess there were some quality control issues when the got them back from the coater that had to be reworked that caused the delay. I will let everyone know when I get them and when I will be shipping them out.
