Also, I read that the SR9c may tend to be a "light striker." I really don't need that feature if it is true.

This is easy.

It's the PPR-40.

That's the "Phased Plasma Rohrbaugh, in the 40 Watt range." :o

I'm going to be offering the 80 watt upgrade as soon as the gun is released. :D ;D

Perhaps the better title would have been "New R9 Model for 2012..."

The new model will be introduced at the SHOT Show, which starts January 16th.

Luckily, I will be there, ready to file a report--with pictures!   ;)

It can't be too radical a change from what we have now, or it would take five years to actually produce a gun.       Gene

If I was one of the Brother's R...I'd be giving a clue or at least communicating with the ones who, more than anything, keep their product in the limelight....Let's face it, not much magazine coverage of the R9...a simple advertisement don't get it done...anyone who wants to know about the Rohrbaugh comes to this forum.  Lots of competition out there....  If I was in the business, I'd be giving some information to those who support me....hello....I see the dude from VZ grips on here...and I bought his grips, not just for the R9, but for a 1911 as well...just good business.  Can someone who speaks to the Brothers communicate this?  Or are they oblivious and uncaring to us who support them?

Oblivious and uncaring?  No.

I've had the pleasure of meeting both of the Rohrbaugh brothers face-to-face, and they care.  Deeply.

But they told me they do not have much time to monitor internet forums, as they are a small shop, and keep busy producing the absolutely best product they know how to build.

Part of Karl's frustration was summed up thus:  "Everybody with a computer is an expert".
So much mis-information, that fighting it is fruitless.

The Rohrbaughs appreciate us, their knowlegable customers, to straighten out those that don't have a clue.

I told Karl there is only one thing I wish was different about my R9- I wish it was my name engraved in the side instead of his!  He got a kick out of that.....

Good info Recluse...  But gosh, a few minutes of an update to the forum that probably sells more of their guns than they could imagine would be great...  I understand they are busy though.  But, if it was my product, I'd certainly monitor the forum that is all about my product.  And, if I had something new hitting the market, I'd post a clue before someone went out and bought a Khar or something.  There is a lot, and growing, of competition out there in the mini-9 market.  Just my $.02 though...  They must have a reason for the keeping product updates and potentially new products a secret.
