I have had my R9 for a number of years and carry it occasionally. In my experience Winchester Silvertips 115 were the most reliable and accurate ammo. It was unavailable for a couple of years by lately I have found a few boxes. What bullet do those wiser than I recommend? What bullets should be avoided?

Just saw you never got a reply, sorry for that.
I and it seems a lot of other folks on here like the 115 or 124gr Gold Dots.
Of course make sure you test them before using them in a carry gun.
There are a number of threads on here about ammo. Some are a good read.
Good Luck,
.

Both of my R9s shoot Speer Gold Dots and, other than differences in perceived recoil, manifest no real difference when 115, 124 and 147 are used. Speer Lawman is a FMJ 9mm round that mimics the shooting character of the Gold Dot, but is less expensive and therefor has become my practice round.
