I do not envy the Rohrbaugh Brothers,
« on: May 13, 2006, 11:47:00 AM »
I do not envy the Rohrbaugh Brothers, with their goal of producing the perfect pistol.  I can imagine the sinking feeling as a small batch of problem guns emerge.

I would implement a system to track slide assemblies as associated with batches of raw material.  This way, a practical method of RECALL could be put in place.

The frame has it's reference number, the S/N..

I'm sure I don't fully understand the problems they face, and only wish to plant a *Thought Seed*......

I agree with you RJ.  It would give the manufacturer more control and tracking.

RJ, Jimmy - tho I have not spoken to Eric in a short while - I do think the odd slide issue will have given food for thought on that.

Chances are that aspect may well have been tightened up so as to preclude the difficulty in tracing any bad batch of material, should it recur.  It'd be logical.
