Picked up my new r9s yesterday. It looks great. ser# R15**, it has the G 10 grips and black anodized frame.The recoil spring is not closed on one end. I think there are newer ones out that are finished on both ends. Makes me wonder if the magazine springs are the newest ones, maybe I should order new ones.
I field stripped it, looks real nice inside. I was dreading stripping it because of what I had heard about how difficult it was. Thanks to all the good info I found on this site it was no problem.
I will give a range report after its first trip to the range.
