Barrel Markings
« on: February 21, 2011, 04:51:02 PM »
I have a Deer Park R9S. The barrel is not stamped 9MM.

All of the other R9s I have seen have the caliber stamped on it. Mine is in serial number range  R495X.

Is this unique or did Rohrbaugh stop marking the barrels?

Was the barrel Chromed also, any chance the markings were removed during the prep for the plating ?

I think they are too deep to be removed. I have another R9 that was chromed and the 9MM is clearly visible.

I spoke to Maria today. She said this is the first she has heard of this. They get stamped when they are produced. She wanted me to send it in for them to look at it.

Once i told her it had some custom work done she stated she would check witht the guys and see what the wanted to do.

I have not heard back from her as of yet.

Would the lack of 9MM marking make this R9 more valuable, even with the Cogan custimization?

Maria @ Rohrbaugh stated this would be the only one she know of.

Just wanted to get your thoughts. I didnt know if I should carry it.

It might but I don't know to who it would.  If it was already modified and being used I would keep on using it but thats just me.

We would like to see a picture of it soon!!!!
