FL Availability?
« on: July 05, 2004, 07:18:01 PM »
Just found this forum and figured that this is the place where any news regarding the R-9 will hit first.  ;D

Has anyone here in FL been able to get one of these locally or only via the internet?
Any estimate on when local dealers will have any in stock?
I really would like to handle one of these in-person to see if I need to smash my piggy bank plus sell a PM9 for one.  ;)

Hi cal45:

They are in production. I own a R9s S/N 131. Look for one at a dealer near you.

In reality, many people don't yet know about the gun since the gun rag reviews haven't started to be published.

Cal45,

Check with the following:

Miles Schuler
Trade Winds Pawn & Gun
6243 Gulf Breeze Pkwy
Gulf Breeze, FL 32563
850-939-3303

He's here in the Panhandle, and is handling my R9s delivery.  I've done many transactions through him -- and he's a man of his word....unlike an out-of-state dealer I encountered recently.

Miles will do you right, and probably save you a few bucks too.
I'm not a gun expert -- but I did stay in a Holiday Inn Express last night...

flyandscuba, RJ

Thanks for the referral - I'd still like to inspect one of these mini 9's in person before buying. Traveling up to the panhandle is just a little too far to drive for me from Orlando. My local dealer (Shoot Straight) happens to be listed on Rohrbaugh's web site as an official dealer but they do not know when they might expect any in. As a matter of fact, when discussing with the shop manager, a few weeks ago, - he didn't even know that they were listed as an "Official" dealer on the web site.  :o
I was  kinda hoping that the dealers listed on their website would be the first  to see them.

Thanks, again RJ.

I'll give University a call in the AM. There is a gun show this weekend in Orlando and they usually have a table or two setup.

Funny.

The folks that posted here said to ask for Charlie at University Gun so it wasn't too hard to do that when someone answered the phone. You need not worry about him being there 24x7 because the store is only open during business hours.   :)

I'll give folks a little slack on not knowing what a Rohrbaugh is since it hasn't hit the dealers shelfs and no gun mag has had a feature on it.
