380

Thanks wildmanwill. I appreciate the help sir. I was wondering why it said 380S on the box and the others said R9. Now it's all coming together.

So does a Glock 36 shoot .36 caliber? Just askin.

"Old range report" is the right description. As has been mentioned here on the forum try "Precision One" for 13" of penetration through gel and denim.

;D Haha. I thought you were just feeling a bit frisky or something. Funny.

Thanks for the helpful links. I read them.

Sounds like good ol Gold Dots are reliable and good ol Golden Sabres are tested to be a bit more potent.

Question: has anyone had an opportunity to test the reliability of the Golden Sabres in a Rohrbaugh 380?

Thanks WMW

I suggest you park the R380, buy a Glock 42, and use the "Precision One" .380 in +P referenced in the above post for some man sized .380 pea shooter ammo.

Oh, the voice of reason!!! I was kind of hoping that I could get the .380 to hold up a little better than an R9 since it doesn't have as much Kaboom. I have a Kimber solo and a Kahr .380 (semi dependable). Maybe I should park the Rohrbaughs and seecamps and move on to other options. I guess my gorilla-like finesse doesn't pair well with the boutique handguns. Is that what your saying Tracker? Haha.

Thanks as always Tracker. I was kinda joking, but I am in need of a pocket pistol.

Solo is too big.

Kahr just not reliable.

I'm afraid the G42 would be a bit oversized for the pocket.

Perhaps I need to keep working with the Kahr. I want to be able to carry an R9 or .380 Rohrbaugh.

Shoot little carry sometimes. I don't want to injure a semi collectible pistol.

I looked at a 42 yesterday and was quite surprised at how small, light, and thin it is but I didn't try it in the pocket. That be as it may I think it and Precision One .380+P will make quite a formidable combination. I bought some standard pressure Precision One in .380 but haven't tried it yet.

I really think that your R380 will handle the +P ammo from Precision.  If the R9 can handle 35,000 ps[ from a standard pressure 9mm, the 380 +P at 23,000 psi should not be a problem.

I would call Precision first and see if they are familiar with the R380 and would recommend it.  They probably have never heard of a R380 is the problem.

Josh  -  What is the problem with the P380?  That is surprising as I have not heard of many problems with that gun.

As you know from my range reports on the pistol I love it. It is such a smooth little shooter MRC.

The issue I am experiencing is FTF and on occasions a FTE.

I've sent it back to Kahr. They told me they are a little ammo sensitive so I bought some federal hydro shoks. Still experienced some issues.

Note: this is after I have ran well over 200 rounds through it.
