Title: "Blues in A-4s"
Post by: Richard S on January 19, 2012, 11:45:12 AM
In a recent post I expressed my opinion that the Douglas A-4 Skyhawk (for which one of our own members, "Tracker," was a carrier-based pilot) was one of the most beautiful aircraft designs ever produced, right up there with the Spitfire and the P-51 Mustang. During the period 1974-86, the A-4F Skyhawk II was the plane flown by the Navy Flight Demonstration Team (the "Blue Angels"). Here is a video of "Blues in A-4s":

Thanks RS.  Great to watch.  Another of my favorites (although not as good to look at) is the F4U Corsair.  I have seen them at the local airshow a couple of times up flying with the P-51's and I get goosebumps just thinking about them.
