Title: Honor this day!
Post by: backupr9 on May 30, 2016, 07:15:26 PM
Memorial Day is a day for family, for reflection and meditation, and for giving thanks to those who from time immemorial have risen to the task of protecting the innocents for whom they felt responsible.  America has the most heart-wrenchingly beautiful flag there is visually, and more importantly, it is beautiful because of its history and meaning...fly it, salute it, honor and cherish it and what it stands for, and in doing so don't forget the warriors who fought and still fight for your safety.  Remember that you have warriors close to home everyday, soldiers, LEO's, fire fighters, EMT's and others who put their lives on the line for us all daily.  Remember them all not just on this day, but everyday!

P.S. I'ts OK to have a barbecue with friends, but don't lose sight of the reason we celebrate.  Heck, maybe this day should be dedicated to teaching everyone, liberal, conservative, transgender or whatever to understand the difference between pistols, revolvers, rifles, shotguns, semi-automatic and fully automatic weapons, and to safely approach, handle, and use each.

We all must continue to honor and respect all of our serviceman and woman from the beginnings of our Nation to this very day,

for without their sacrifices ~ We would not exist.

God Bless them all!
