Is it usually "Complete NP3 Plus including all internal parts and one magazine"
Does the barrel of the R9 get NP3 coated?
Does getting the magazine NP3'd make any difference?
-
When I took my guns to Robar in person, the price quoted was the external, internals and one mag. Extra mags cost extra.
Now, good question on the barrel. Hmmm. I always thought that just the external part of the barrel was treated. But never thought about the inside of the tube. Good question.
As far as the mag, after treatment, they just gliiiiide in.

They have a $25.00 masking charge listed as "Masking charge for non-plateable parts (eg. H&K P7 barrels)
That makes me wonder if they do the inside of the R9s
-
Probably get the answer with a call to Robar. ;D
-
Simple enough.
-
Well I called during their office hours AZ time and they have not turned the phones on yet or have come in from breakfast yet.
-
Just called Robar and they do not coat the inside of the R9 barrel, outside of barrel, yes. I didn't think so, but wanted to be sure. Got some prices while I had them on the phone; NP3+, inside and out, $395; just the insides, all internals, $180. Shipping is additional.

I just got through to Robar as well. They told me they only coat the inside of a Shotgun barrel if requested.
All other barrels if coated inside, after the first few shots fired, the coating would be blown out.
-
Should anyone want to have this done, here's the phone no; 623-581-2648.

I called back about the shotgun barrel, thinking it would help in cleaning. I shoot one every weekend and cleanup is tough.
It seems I misunderstood. They don't plug shotgun barrels when refinishing, but the finish will blow out just as well in a shotgun.
-
I just had the internals done on my PUP. They had a 2 1/2 week turnaround. Excellent service.

I always thought that no one would put a coating on the inside of the barrel. Most people plug the muzzle and chamber end. Recently I sent a SIG 228 to Customized Creations and never thought about it, on their April 15th Tax Day Special. They did their coating on the barrel inside and out. I wasn't pleased about it but apparently that is normal for them. It will be the last pistol they ever get from me.
