Back pocket holster
« on: August 20, 2005, 03:17:51 PM »
I am beginning to think the Rohrbaugh is too big for back pocket carry in Jeans.  But this isn't the pistols fault, nor the holster.

Jean pockets are small,   might want to consider this when thinking of a Rear Carry holster..

Any thoughts ??

Perhaps for some, but certainly not for all jeans.  It's just like any other clothing you choose - if you want to carry in a back pocket then you choose clothing to accomodate that.

SOME Jean back pockets are small..  ;D

I guess there are few absolutes in life.

But, I find most Jean pockets do tend to be small for an object measuring 3- 3/4'' X 5- 1/4''.
I encourage customers to cut out a piece of cardboard that size, to check for fit.

...any other thougts ?  anyone  ;)

Perhaps RJ you will need to contour the holster, and the pistol ::)
I agree on the back pocket carry, it is tight back there.

OOOHH!!  haha - no comment! :D

I have enough prob with a fat wallet - not fat from cash I should add - all due to loadsa stoopid bits of plastic - most of which are not credit cards either.

I doubt unless never sitting down - I could tolerate a back pocket carry - maybe cos my wife often still says to this old man - ''nice butt''  ;D ;D :P

Meant to say RJ - this boredom thing of which you speak now and again - it's worrying - as I said before - no excuse for boredom ya know!! ::) ;D

I have never cared for back pocket carry much...  It takes away one of the advantages of pocket carry -- being able to casually obtain a firing grip.  As a result, I think its a lot slower.

I have also been hesitant to sit on my gun.  An R-9 would take it, but...  I think sitting on a Kel-Tec P-3AT could be a problem.   I am sure people do it, but...

I think the R-9 is much better suited to front pocket or jacket pocket carry.

I have found that RJ's frontpocket holster works, for me, just as well in the rear pocket without printing. So I use it in either one depending on the situation. RJ's pocket holsters are the best. ;D

Hey RJ, What happened to my Jeans?

I know you are a great holster maker, and if anyone could have made a holster too fit those painted on jeans, it would be you!

Now, I just have to find that darn picture again.
Here it is....
