Shweet.

Now to do a showdown.

I already know which will win for me with all of the fond trigger time behind the G27, but I still have to go at it : )

This is what I said would happen after SHOT -- a Glock 43 9mm slim in time for the NRA show.

The surprise is that it is slightly larger than the 42.  Not a lot, but not the same.

I've been trying to figure out if it would be pocket carryable.

It's seeming to me lately that it won't. I'm looking for a pocket carryable, semi-auto (for the magazine reload) that can be drawn and presented as efficiently as a J frame.

I can pocket carry my G26. But almost always, it is extremely difficult to draw and present smoothly.

There is no question to me that my G26 is a superior fighting pistol to my R9S, my S&W 642, my Colt DS, etc. But, when pocket carried, it does not present smoothly. There is no question to me that my 642 can be drawn and presented much more quickly than my Glocks.

Looking at the dimensions of the G43, it doesn't seem to have it where it counts to come from the pocket in time to save one's life. It staggers me that, in all the videos now appearing on the G43, not one guy thinks to slip the thing into his pocket to demonstrate operability.

Maybe it's me. But I'm concerned.

Everything that I've seen about the G43 shows that the profile (layed upon each other)is larger than the G26... Not width mind you, being a single stack, but overall!

Not good for the pocket for sure.
I dearly love my Pups, but I've been looking forward to the Glock single stack for a long time! I thought it might give some of the other "pocket"pistols a run for their money. But looks like it is even larger than the .380,G42!!

And of course, not even close to my beloved Pups! I will continue to carry them and depend on them as always!

The size difference over the Glock 42 is hardly noticeable -- if you can carry the G42, you can carry the G43.

Glock is certainly promoting it as a pocket piece.  I pocket carry a G42 at times, but I have reasonably large pockets.  ;)

At that size, I would be happy with my Boberg XR9 shorty in a pocket Desantis or in an IWB with 8+1 in +P.

Well, one thing is for sure, you can never confuse a Glock for a beauty Queen. They are hard workers though.  8)
