The G-10 Grips are impervious to the Rem oil or other lubricants, as a matter of fact the oil may enhance the color.

One of the first things Karl did after my new VZ Grips were installed on my R-9 was to wipe both pistol and grips with oil. It really brought out the grips.

I'd look elsewhere as to a problem with discoloration to the grip.Maybe it is a pool of oil stuck in the grip screw hole.

I just got my VZ grips today (cherry) and they are great!  I couldn't be more pleased with them.  The grip is much improved over the stock grips.  Night and day difference.  I expect these will make the gun quite a bit easier to hang onto while shooting.  And they look really great too.  They add even more class to the look of the pistol.  Very nice and highly recommended.

Looks like some fine grips. I think I am ordering black checkered. Everyone seems to like them that has purchased them.

I finally ordered mine, but couldn't get the grip screws out to install them.  I think I may have done too good of a job with the Permatex when I swapped out the stainless screws for the black ones.  Even the soldering iron trick didn't work.  I'll have to try again after a couple more range trips.

Ahh I just installed my first set of VZ grips today.

I purchased the black checkered. What a difference over the OEM.

I didnt think could get any better.

Now we have to get Yankee2500 to stock the button style screws. ;D

Thank you. I did select black, I did not know how the other colors would look with the silver finish.
