Yes, you read that right. The R-9 was scheduled for a price change on the 15th of this month--well, it got one!
The previous suggested retail of $945 has been reduced to $899, with a corresponding change in the dealer price.
When I met with Eric earlier this month, it was clear that they were agonizing over a price increase and trying to figure out what they could do to avoid one. With some careful study and refinement, they believe they have become more efficient in production at the factory.
Lets face it -- the number one complaint about the R-9 is its price. That has apparently not fallen on deaf ears. Here are some guys that want to make their customers happy.
Personally, I think they are nuts to lower the price on a new product when the demand outstrips the supply -- but its their company...
And...with thoughts of a second R-9 or R-380 on my mind...I hope to benefit as well!
