Fenix L1P  (important)
« on: April 20, 2006, 12:55:24 PM »
As a police officer for the past 28 years, I can't stress enough the value of a small, high quality, high output flashlight. If you're going to carry the finest small 9mm, you better have a quality small light ON YOU AT ALL TIMES. This is a light that runs on 1 AA alkaline battery. Its LED so it works for 4 hours. At 46 Lumens, this will spotlight and object 75 feet away.
In the  sunshine everyday police use their lights in dark buildings, power outages, etc . . . You may need a light going to your car at night. If the big mag light is in your car, its like the 44 mag in the glove compartment, never in your hand when you need it.Try    FENIX-STORE.COM

Kerry:

Thanks for telling us about this great little light! I ordered one for myself, and have now ordered one for my wife. I've always thought that a woman should carry a good small light in her purse. I may order two more for my son-in-laws' stocking stuffers. Les

I carry an E1e Surefire all the time but this has some attraction - I must look into it, despite having more flashlights than I need ;D

I received my Fenix P1 last week.  It is a marvel -- 3 watts and 55 lumens in a case no larger than my thumb!   :o

An excellent light is almost as important as a reliable firearm.  Light is an excellent tactical advantage over an adversary.

Here's some of my every day carry lights (including the L1P as this thread is discussing), good comparision of the true size of this light to a AA battery and other popular lights.

Surefire L5 L4 6P Fenix L2P L1P Gerber/CMG Ultra

EDIT: I tried to make it a thumbnail, but Photobucket wasn't displaying it correctly (sorry if its a little large).

It's a flashlight arsenal; Abe Lincoln would have loved it.
