For 1400 members we sure have a low percentage of participation/activity.

Of course some of those "members" just joined to sell their wares.

I wonder if that is about par for gun forums?

Also, I was thinking that 1400 members seems low for the number of R9s sold.

I think a lot of folks who buy R9's don't know about the Forum.  They just walk in a gun shop, see the R9, and buy it.

I just happened to find the Forum in '09, read a little, and bought one.

1,400 is a pretty honest count.  A year or more ago when we were having "spam" member problems, TechGuy purged the membership base of anyone who didn't have at least one post.  That cut us back a lot, but was required to get rid of hundreds of spam members.

   Duane, maybe if we were to try to get the word out to  more  new owners. I know that the company doesn't want to get involved, but the dealers might. I'm pretty sure that Tom Watson recommends the forum to his new customers. Maybe if we somehow got the "higher" volume dealers such as Arego and others that I can't remember right now to do that. I can't imagine a better tool for a new owner than the forum. Everything you need to know is here, and if it isn't it soon will be. Anyway, just some thoughts.     Gene

Well, I have never been of the opinion that this forum should be evaluated by its size.  Having every Tom, Dick and Harry might not be the best thing for us.

Fact is -- those who are really into this gun can easily find us on the net.  We come up as one of the top five hits on "Rohrbaugh" on Google.

I would like to serve the masses of Rohrbaugh owners, but if they really seek enlightenment--they should be able to find us.
