I've only seen a couple of pair of Blue CFs that I liked. They tend to be too inconsistent in the coloration.
  I like the Black ones I have.

one mag no box or papers and wear on the guard i feel nicer ones out there. jmo

May be, but  I bought this as a shooter for daily carry - Texas Gunfighter style - one in each pocket, so triggergaurd wear will happen anyway.  And  besides, refinishing such as NP3 or something equivelent is now possible; I will not be without an R9 (something I dreaded, even though I have plenty of alternatives).
And mags, I have plenty.

I agree, the Blues CAN BE disappointing, especially for prices they are bringing.

But then, there ARE some real LOOKERS out there as well.
