Apparently this is an issue that affects only a very small number of guns.  If you are affected, the factory will take care of it.

Good to know, I have not seen anything posted about it before this.

I received to new two  R9 magazines today. They fit in the old and new gun. It will be awhile before the R9 comes up in my practice shooting rotation. I will post if there are any problems. I do not think there will be.
