Simple to make tools for take down/reassembly

what size fuse puller?  i see online that there are different types.

Buss Fuse Puller:  It sounds like a great idea, and I thought the slot cut in the end would allow easy insertion of the pin. Several readers apparently immediately understood the application.  But, I just can't see how it will hold the slide in place to align the pin hole. Somehow, I must be missing something pretty basic.  Home Depot and Lowe's only had one size, so I assume it is the right one.  Could someone please slip me a hint or send a photo.

The bus fuse puller is used to compress the recoil spring assembly to allow easy insertion into the slide during reassembly.  There are other ways if aligning the pin hole, the simplest being to put a properly sized object (one user recommends a chop stick) into the ejection port to hold the slide open.  A better way is to make a tool using PVC pipe (specs available on this forum).  Cleaning the R9 has become a joy for me now.
