Title: Dorian
Post by: backupr9 on September 02, 2019, 09:56:41 AM
Good luck to everyone on the Atlantic east coast of Florida, Georgia, South Carolina, and points north.  My wife and I have a deal whereby we make reservations elsewhere and leave our home in Amelia Island, FL. at the first threat of a hurricane.  We left two days ago and are in Knoxville, TN.  Our area in FLorida is, as of this morning, under a mandatory evac order and the island is basically closed off.  For those younger, stronger, more optimistic who choose to stay in Dorian’s path, please reconsider...this is potentially a really serious disaster in the making.

That's good advice.  It's better to leave early to avoid the traffic.

We are on the west coast of Florida. The suv was gassed up, packed up, and ready to roll. We don't do well w/o electric and ac here.
