.380 Assumptions

(1/3) > >>

bbarry:
Just picked up a .380 - can I assume that #1) it will safely handle any .380 loading that I can stuff into it, and #2) that I need to change the recoil spring at the same 200 round interval as the 9mm?  Regards, Bill.

tracker:
I would definitely not assume that you can use anything other than
standard pressure ammo on the .380 until you check with the factory.
The manual isn't quite clear on anything but the 9mm. using only
standard pressure but check first on the .380. My guess is that it
is restricted to standard pressure also but I don't know that for sure.

sdlsaginaw:
I doubt you'd have to change the recoil spring at all.  It's not being asked to handle the extreme forces that the one in the R9 is.

kjtrains:
Welcome to the forum, bbarry!  Can't give you any help on the .380 as I have the R9s.  However, give Maria a call at the factory and she will be glad to answer your questions.

theirishguard:
welcome and congrats on getting your new .380. I would only shoot standard pressure ammo.  Tom
