Just for openers, it is not the first s/n with "R9s" inscribed on the slide.

FIRST, (lol) I count eight inaccuracies with that posting.  Nice gun but its priced NOT to sell in todays market.

1) Serial Number R176... WHY IS THAT IMPORTANT? It was the FIRST Rohrbaugh that was manufactured and distributed after all the kinks were worked out of the first 175 that were manufactured.  (ha-ha)

2) It is the FIRST one that was distributed with sites, (nope)

3) and be identified by the R9s.  (nope)

4) It is also the FIRST to have the brushed aluminum color with the brown lower, (brown?)

5) along with the FIRST to have graphite grips.  (graphite?)

6) This is truly a one of a kind!  (nope)

7) Verification of the above can be confirmed by contacting ROHRBAUGH.COM -  (no such thing)

8 )  The case is not original.

EDIT

9)   There were NOT 175 guns before R176

People who buy these guns for collector value should have bought gold coins.

My wife is actually stressing over our vacation after the next vacation. (I let her plan the vacations , then I work out the Details) .  She loves her vacations, usually she is (2) ahead.  Now she is trying to decide between the German Alps (Switzerland, Italy, France etc) and Alaska.
Seeing the referance to Switzerland reminded me. It is funney watching her get upset over where to go on vacation  ;D I keep reminding her how rough she has it   ;D

It seems unusual to me that Karl Rohrbaugh would put a price on any R9 except the new ones he sells through his distributors.

Good luck with your sell.  Please report back what the high bidder ends up paying,  the info will help others here know the current value of similar guns they might have.

The market on these is WAY down from where it was last year.

On a side note:  Its really hard to know the history of these early Rohrbaughs.  They were only concerned with getting the best guns out they could at the time and not so much if the slide had the "s", frame color, barrel text font, mag weld, spring coil count, grip color etc......  I've owned 28 Rohrbaughs (21 of which were lower serial numbered than the one you have for sale) and have read and reread every post on this forum building the base of history I believe to be true about them.  I don't clame to know it all and still learn new things about the early ones often.
