I have no idea if this is true.

I am glad that I bought that Tribute the other day. I got a $1300 dollar spring with it. Don't know when or where we will get parts now.   :-[

If Para USA, among other Remington plants, is being relocated to Huntsville, AL that information would not square with our recent information that Rohrbaugh is being relocated to Pineville. All of this is just guesswork at our level and we won't know until the official announcement, which may be subject to change.

Here is another link from the Military Times yesterday that confirms the move to Huntsville for many Remington companies. Does this mean that only Rohrbaugh will be in Pineville? I doubt it.

This doesn't change anything.  Eric was just at the new plant in Pineville where they are setting up warranty service and machines to build new guns.  Parts availability should be less than 2 weeks now.

I, for one, will remain patient and hope for the best. I am looking at this change as a chance for the Rohrbaugh brand to have the capital to do additional R&D come up with some new products , maybe springs with a longer life, the addition of new materials in manufacture etc. etc My hope is that Eric has been given a position where he can continue with his small company approach to customer service and innovative design but now with the resources available through a large corporation. I guess I am a dreamer, glass half full kind of guy. Have my fingers crossed for a bright future for Rohrbaugh and this forum.

This news release from the Charlotte Observer was issued today:

So this means that the Pineville plant that housed Para USA is closing to relocate Para USA to Alabama. I would hope that this also
means that Rohrbaugh will be taking over operations at the Pineville plant.

That is certainly a possibility given the press release cited above.

I hope that is the case but I didn't infer that assumption from the context of the release.

I have some reason to believe that Remington is not abandoning Pineville. I could be wrong... We will see.

I hope you are right Duane, but the move is not going to be complete for 15 months it sounds like.

Either way it does not sound good for Rohrbaugh to me.  It will be hard enough turning out high quality, one at a time pistols in the corner of a 65 man shop turning out pistols of questionable quality like Para-USA.  Move to a 2000 employee shop in an abandoned car plant and working along side of production people who's bread and butter is building 870's for Kmart and AR Type rifles and carbines for the blaster crowd, it could be impossible not to get lost.

Apparently, I should proofread before I hit 'post'.

Plant, not "pant". Oops.
