Wildey Cabine/Pistol Arrives
« on: December 08, 2014, 07:31:54 PM »
I know most people here are not interested in these type of firearms, but until Josh gives us a range report on his R9 there is not much else to talk about.

This Wildey Carbine/ Pistol I bought came in today and it is much nicer than the pictures show.  I is a Wildey frame with a removable buttstock, 18" barrel and forearm chambered in 475 Wildey Magnum and a Leupold 2X long eye relief scope.  There is also a 12" pistol barrel chambered in 45 Winchester Magnum.

It came with a custom wood case to store everything.  In the lid are three compartments.  The top has gunsmith screw drivers and a Wildey Factory cleaning kit.  The middle compartment hold the extra pistol barrel. The bottom compartment hold a 3 die set for loading 45 Win Mag and a 4 die set for loading 475 Wildey Magnum.

The previous owner went up to Wildey and specced the whole thing out and Wildey built it all.  I am sure it is a one of a kind set.  I have been chasing Wildey's for several years now and have never seen anything like it before.

That is a museum piece and a keeper, for sure, in the mean time.

That is a keeper! Good luck with it, and enjoy it!
Having a gun in your hand is much more effective than having the entire police department on the phone!

Charles Bronson could have used that setup.  Beautiful, enjoy.

Very cool and unique piece!
War is an ugly thing, but not the ugliest of things. The decayed and degraded state of moral and patriotic feeling which thinks that nothing is worth war is much worse.

I hereby put my DE .50 AE back in the safe and withdraw from the big-bore gun competition.  ;)

That is a stunning set! Thanks for posting the photos.

Here are a couple more with the Carbine knocked down.

It is real big, the case measures  15" x 26" x 5".
