Post by: DavidS on May 23, 2011, 11:50:05 PM
I have patented and produced a device used in the disassembly and reassembly of the R-9. An instuctional video of how to use the device is posted on youtube.com and can be accessed by clicking the following link, http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=58xJ9Fv0P6Y. The device sells for $20 US including shipping and handling. Payment can be made by check or money order. The website is http://sites.google.com/site/slidebloks .

Good Luck with sales.

David, be sure and make a post in the classifieds so your tool will be easy to find.

Thanks for your support and comments. I have had the patent for over 5 years. Just took some time to get around to producing it.

Received in the mail yesterday. Great little device, definately beats the CPVC 3/4 x 1/2" reducer I was using.

Thanks.

Are you still selling these?

I'm getting an R9 soon and after reading posts and watching the video, I think I'm going to need one...

Sales are temporarily on hold due to the escalation in cost of liability insurance for any firearms related  sales. I am working on resolving this issue. I appreciate your patience. I will advise when sales can resume. Thank you for your support.

1marine:

Welcome to the Forum.

If you could describe the problem you're having in reassembling your R9, a lot of us here would be willing to help you through the process. As the saying goes, it can be done in a number of ways if you just "hold your tongue right."

Are these still available?

The UTube link on the first post seems to be no longer available.  Any picture or description of these items available?  Heck, I'd just advertise it as a paper weight and sell every one I could make. :)

In view of David's suspension of efforts to sell his patented device, a suspension which has now lasted nearly one year, a description of Steve Bedair's unpatented barrel-pin removal tool might again be in order.  The dimensions of the Bedair tool made of PVC piping are contained in the following thread:

And photos of it can be seen here:
