Star Wars Holsters
« on: May 17, 2005, 11:38:46 AM »
On occasion I get the opportunity to do some custom work.  I recently had the chance to make up some holsters, gun belts, rifle sling, etc., for this young girl.  Her and her family went to the Star Wars convention in Indianapolis last month, where she won first place in the costume contest.  Her dad said they took over 1,000 pictures of her.  There were some 30,000+ people in attendance, as well as the man, George Lucas, himself.  Here is a pic of her and a photo collarge of the actual character from the movie, Episode I:

K-Man:

That is great work on the custom holsters!  If those weapons were real, it could take the concept of Cowoy Action Shooting to an entirely new level.

Thanks for the kind words, gentlemen.

Richard, I think for the cowboy action shooting they would have to start a new class/category - futuristic.

R9S, my only gain from the fame will be the guy who was foolish enough to take on the project.  ;D

Just saw this...amazing.

She looks just like the woman that I met in a bar Friday night.

Great work, Kevin! Congrats.
