Thank you, Gentlemen!

The rest of the project involves "internal refinements."

Project complete! My wife's Glock Gen4 G17 has now been upgraded by Teddy Jacobson ("Actions by T"), who gave it a complete action job, polished the breechface and feed ramp, polished and contoured the chamber, modified all engagements including the extractor, and installed a "New York Trigger #2" with a Wolff trigger spring.  The action of this G17 is now as smooth as glass, and it has a silky trigger pull that breaks crisply at the requested 7-1/2 pounds.

Joyce finally has a primary weapon of the type she found she could shoot most accurately. With Eric's elephant-hide holster made by Ron Graham, she now has a rig she can carry with great pride as well as complete confidence. (And the Seecamp .32 with old ivory grips that she "requisitioned"  ::) from my gun safe can now assume its proper role as her backup gun.)

Great job Richard!

You might as well sell me that Seacamp!  I'll give it a good home, don't forget the box please.

Richard -- I though Teddy semi-retired five or more years ago?  Is he still taking new work and turning it around that quick?

Duane:

I was fortunate in having a mutual friend who was willing to provide me with an introduction -- for which I am extremely grateful.

Dino:

The only time I get to handle that Seecamp is to clean it following range sessions. I'm then expected to return it forthwith and post haste. I think I'll let you handle the negotiations.  ;)

Update: I presented the rig to Joyce last night. Her eyes widened, she took a deep breath, and then said something rather personal. Next, she read through the owner's manual and studied TJ's list of upgrades. Then she removed the pistol from Eric's elephant-hide holster, racked the slide to lock, insuring that the pistol was unloaded, dropped the empty magazine, released the slide, looked around the room for a "target," selected one of my trophies on the wall, sighted the pistol, and dry fired it. When that silken trigger broke crisply at 7-1/2 pounds, a big smile crossed her face and she again said something rather personal.

"Happy wife, happy life."   8)

I've now loaded three magazines with Winchester Supreme Elite PDX1 +P 124-grain JHPs and it's off to the range this weekend.

And thus endeth the story, with my thanks to all who provided advice and assistance. (Now, if I can just figure out a suitable follow up for Christmas . . . .)
