Corey,

Slight difference in R9 weight with mag, 14.3 oz., according to this.

http://www.rohrbaughforum.com/ccm_r9.pdf

Tracker and CWC, ya'll got me curious, so I took some weights using a My Weigh Precision Balance (claimed accuracy is within .1 gram).

My R9s unloaded, but with an empty mag is 15.13 oz.  Loaded with 7 rounds of Gold Dot 124 gr the total loaded weight is 18.18 oz.  That's using a mag without an extension, and with a set of VZ G10 grips installed.

Moonshine, you got me curious now.

So I weighed my 3.  Not as a rebuttal or to be argumentative, just curious as you.  There seems to be some discreprentcies out there.

My scale is a commercial electronic one used for measuring tare weights.  It picks up a 90 gr bullet in a 5k lot, so it is pretty accurate.

R9 no sights empty - 12.64 oz
W/Designer Grips - modified

w/ full mag 124 gr GD - 16.8 oz

R9s with OEM CF grips empty  - 12.96 oz

w/ full mag of 147 G/Sabers - 17.44 oz

R9s w/ VZ cf Grips  - 13.12 oz

w/full mag of 124 GD - 17.28 oz

No mag extensions, and 6 rounds only

Would like to hear what others have too.

Holy cow, that's quite a difference.  I wonder if the difference is in the scales, the guns, or both?  Yes, definitely, others need to chime in.

From my spreadsheet titled "Honest Weights".  Everything is loaded to full capacity with GD 124 grain.  All have stock magazines w/o any extenders.  All measurements taken on the same scale.

DiamondBack DB9      15.9
Rohrbaugh R9s      18.1
Kahr PM9      19.6

That's spot on with what I came up with for my PM9, same mag, same ammo.

Unloaded Pup with no mag = 13.1oz

Unloaded with empty mag = 14.9oz

With full mag & loaded (124gr Winchester Rangers), hooked mag extension and designer grips = 18.3oz

As above in Keeton pocket holster = 20.4oz

I just weighed my Boberg filled with hollow points.
It was approx. 21.7 oz.
This was done with a rather inexpensive kitchen diet scale so I don't know it's accuracy.

R9S with stock G-10 grips.

13.30 oz/377 grams - empty, no magazine.

18.35 oz/520 grams - loaded with seven rounds of Speer 147g Gold Dots.

Stock magazine with six rounds of Speer 147g Gold Dots is 4.55 oz/129 grams

One round of the Speer 147g Gold Dot is .50 oz/14grams.

All the numbers work out, and that's all on an inexpensive OHAUS CS-2000 digital scale, primarily used to monitor the weight of my tortoise.
