Curt, where are all the cool pics and range reports?    Congrats on the early Boberg,  what number did you get?

Actually, it feels better in my hand and I feel looks better than my Rohrbaugh.
But then again, I don't buy hand guns because I like they way they look.
What matters to me are things like the ability to use +P ammunition, no limp-wristing, http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kC5uVGMXS8k and not having to replace a spring every 200 + rounds.
Little things like that.

Different strokes for different folks. Function is always most important and my pup has been 100% with any ammo from day one.
It's nice to have a good working and good looking gun ;D

+P is not the best thing since sliced bread and tends to be a little overrated by some, good quality standard pressure ammo with proper shot placement will kill you just as quick and a poorly placed +P shot is will have no more benefit.:D

Yes, function will always trump apprearance when it comes to firearms.
I certainly won't get into a "Rohrbaugh vs Boberg contest".
Both are truly excellent guns.

Why does the +p shot always have to be poorly placed?

WADR, if my gun wasn't able to shoot +P's, I'd probably write something very similar.
But, I don't have to.  :)

Curt.  Have you made plans or gotten a holster for the Boberg yet?

Yes, but for the life of me I can't remember who makes it.
He's a member here.
It's a soft holster.

Update: It's a Remora Series 4A-ART soft holster.

I put in an order with Meco today for a pocket holster with delivery in 4 to 6 weeks.  It will be here before the Boberg.    :D

There's actually four holster makers listed on the Boberg website; Side Guard, JS Holster, Hidden Holsters, and Meco.

Robert at Meco just sent me an email saying he had a holster ready to go like I ordered and would ship tomorrow.  Man!  That is fast service.  Thanks, Robert!

I'm reasonably sure if if I carried the R9 with +Ps and had to use it in defense of myself or loved ones it would work fine and be none the worse for wear after one mag. :D
I'm glad the Bobergs are shipping and hope they make a go of it. Like any other gun if it appealed to me I would get one, it just doesn't. It's different but just doesn't have enough WOW factor to make me want one.

We all want to say that we "own the "best".

I think the concern from a lot of R9 owners will be the realization that the new Boberg has the potential to knock the R9 off the Pocket 9mm throne.
And if any gun can do it, it's the Boberg.
(And this is coming from a still very proud R9 owner).
The Boberg is that good.

Is there room at the top for two?
We'll see.
