New member, but a long time lurker. Making my inital post to avoid being thought a worthless spammer. I hope to purchase an r9s in September.

Prescottian, welcome to the club, worthless spammers need love to ;D. September is a looong way off, I'm already in withdrawl and my pup has only been gone 6 days 8 hrs and 46 min. 22 seconds and 43 nano seconds, and may not be back for 5 weeks and 1 day. But who's keeping track.

Welcome aboard.

Prescottian:
Welcome to the campfire. There's no need to lurk. Just pull up a log and join in the conversation.
And congratulations on deciding to obtain what I consider to be the finest pocket pistol ever produced.

Welcome to the forum! What Richard said. No lurking needed. September is a long wait. However, congratulations on the decision to get an R9.

Welcome Prescottian. Are you from Prescott, Arizona? I love Northern Arizona. Phoenix is okay if you enjoy 17 shades of brown.
Yankee: Why not buy another R9 like many of us? That way you will not miss your R9 as it attends summer camp enroute to being customized.
-
That sounds like a good idea!
-
welcome from Texas, enjoy the forum. what are you waiting on? Tom
-
Tom,
Yankee sent his R9 out to be customized which he has posted on a different string.
-
Yes, I live in Prescott, most of the year. Summers in Nantucket which is why I'm waiting for September to obtain a Rohrbaugh. Wouldn't be too too acceptable in Massachusetts, even if I were a resident thereof.
-
ACP, yes I saw that, should be interesting. Always something to mess up a Cape Cod summer. ;) :D Tom
-
Forget Nantucket. Move to Vermont; the best pro-gun state in the USA!
-
Would I give up my R9 temporarily for a house on the water
in Sconset? Yeah, probably.
-
It would be difficult, but.......maybe. :-/ :)

Sorry guys; I wouldn't move to Massachussets for any reason.
Happy Independence Day. Remember why 'the shot heard round the world" took place in Lexington and Concord?
The British were attempting to confiscate the Colonist's guns and powder; indistinguishable from what is happening in that state today.
I can carry legally in Vermont and 16 other states. Yet if I utilize the Bay State as a corridor to, say, Pennsylvania, I face an automatic jail term of one year.
If the beach house is that precious to you, go right ahead.

Still would be a difficult decision. Can't imagine not having the concealed carry. What!! Why should I worry? ;D ;D

Like Prescottian, we are only talking about a summer trip and
then only in jest.
My Patriot Ancestors, two twin bothers and both officers in the
North Carolina Militia, fought at the Battle of King's Mountain, S.C.
on Oct. 7, 1780. The British were defeated there and it was a
pivotal battle in the Revolutionary War. The successive lines of
my family fought in every war since then except 1812 and Korea
until my service in Vietnam.
Give up my gun rights to move to Taxachusetts? Not likely.

Now, that's the tracker I have come to admire!
My great grandfather had a Springfield percussion rifle from the Civil War. I remember it as a kid and was shocked to learn that he was wealthy enough to have bought his way out of serving. The rifle had actually belonged to someone who had served on his behalf.
Then again, my great grandfather's great great grandson is a Marine officer serving in Afghanistan right now.
