I thought there may be some here that would be interested in this...
My wife and I leave for Munich, Germany on Wednesday to pick up my new BMW. For those who don't know, picking up your US-Spec BMW at the factory in Munich is actually the cheapest way to buy or lease a new BMW.
We have a great trip planned, and are also celebrating our 25th wedding anniversary. If you want to know more about BMW Euro Delivery, like BMWs, or like European travel, you might want to follow my blog of the trip, which I will update as we go.

Very cool Duane. Happy Anniversary to you and the Mrs. . . . . My wife and I enjoyed our 20th anniversary this past weekend on Saturday, The 4th. of July. On the BMW thing. . . . Didn't you go to the factory in North Carolina or something like that just a few years ago for your new BMW 3 Series Sedan? Now you have to go to Germany!? . . . . Good for you guys! Enjoy!

Yes, Eric. I'm a bit over the top, I know. Off to the BMW Welt this morning for the big day. Check the blog later for pics!

So. . . . . Let me get this straight: You have the cruise control set at 100 MPH and the flippin' engine is running at a steady measly 2,700 RPM!? Now THAT'S engineering my friend! Yes Sir. Oh by the way. . . . . . are you taking the photo while driving at 100 mph? ???

I noticed the RMP also, pretty impressive I must say.

Ha! Yes, that is the magic of BMW's excellent 8-speed automatic. I forgot to check the instant fuel mileage. I will try to do that.
My wife took the photo! ;)

Duane:
I've been preoccupied with my new duties as Joyce's primary home-health care giver and just logged in to check the Forum. Congratulations on your 25th Anniversary of being married to your lovely lady and on that beautiful BMW. Your blog photographs brought back a lot of memories of my tour of duty in Southern Germany. It's good to see good things happening to good people.
