Well, I had a small window of opportunity to shoot my new to me R9s tonite between 5:30-7:00pm...........
But the wife got home late and the kids needed a bath and dinner too and I had to eat and do a few other chores and lo and behold its 7:00pm and she's gotta go back out to a meeting...........
So all I've done so far to the new pup is FONDLE it :(
Gonna be a few more days before I get to shoot her.......

Much healthier to shoot the pup and fondle the.......well,
you get the drift. I didn't make it to the range today either
but will tomorrow.

Tomorrow it shall be for my trip to fire my new R9s. Got it yesterday and knew I wouldn't make it out to the range today due to work load and PC in the repair shop needs picked up tonight. I think I can wait one more day. 8)

Well, well, well.
Now I know why you guys love this little dandy. ;D
50 rds at 15 yds in a nice little group. Recoil a cakewalk.
Got a mag extension from member Bytor and its gonna stay on. Thanks Ben.
Corey- Thanks for all your posts, They convinced me to get an R9. And now I'm glad I did. :)
Sorry no pics yet. I'm pictorally challenged at this time.......ECC

Happy for you Eddie! Enjoy it ;)

finally Eddie, way to go. Tom

Glad to see you liked the extension. I may try the other one before I decide whether or not to sell it.
So, 25 yards, should be doable with sights, right?

10-4. Kept em in the silhouette at the range visit........
I qualify w/it tomorrow. That'll be the true test.........
-
Went back to the range tonite. 100 rds blazer/cci/speer thru the unit.........no probs to report......115 grain non HP.......

Well...I won't sit here and cry but my range trip didn't happen yet. I am pretty sure it will happen tomorrow morning around 11:00 but who can really know when you work with Oil and Gas companies. If I was a fortune teller or seer of some sort I would have known at 11:00 today that it was gonna be a wasted day and I would have been better off taking off. lol However, since I am not a swami of any sort I had to put in a long day and not do anything. All was postponed until 7:00 am tomorrow. Should be done by 10:00 or 10:30. :(

Yes indeed. Finally made the range this morning. Very pleased with my total of 24 rounds fired with this very nice R9s. Had to hold it down some as I took five other pistols with me and had to fire all of them including my .380 Seecamp which just happened to be in my back pocket at the time. I put about 250 rounds total down range in an hour. Tired but very happy with the outing. :)

sounds good. Tell us about the recoil difference between the R9 and the LWS 380. Tom

It may be just me but I found little difference in recoil between the LWS-380 and the R9s. I believe most of it balances out due to size and weight difference between the two pistols. The R9s is a little bigger, a little heavier and I can get a better grip on it. The Seecamp being so small and light with hardly 1-1/2 fingers holding the grips makes it a bit jumpy. Ofcourse this can be fixed with a mag extension as I did with my P3At some 7 or 8 months ago. Been so busy hunting pistols lately that I haven't had much time to deal with mags.
