I hope the best for you guys in Florida.

It sounds like trouble for a lot of people where ever it makes landfall.

Good luck to all of you!

Definitely going to cause some trouble here in the Tampa Bay area.   I'm on high ground.  We will see how it goes...

Those of us in NE Florida up around JAX should be OK, but we are keeping an eye on it.  Best of luck to those of you on the west coast and panhandle.

The sort of last minute changes in course saved the Tampa Bay area again.   I had no real damage, just some clean up.

The folks south of Sarasota got battered.  Ft. Myers and Naples took a real hit.   The extent is not clear yet.

However, we finally have 70 degree weather for a little bit!  Will be nice for the clean up.

Thanks for all the well wishes!

Glad to hear about Tampa, Duane. The Sanibel Island Causeway is down and will be for quite some time. Access to and from the island is by boat or helicopter.

We dodged the bullet again! Here in Lakewood Ranch ( Sarasota area ) we had high winds and a ton of rain. We never even lost power. Our neighbors to the south were not so lucky.

That's good to hear!

I saw on the news how Tampa Bay had the water blown "OUT" of it yielding a minus 3 foot storm surge.

Yes, "negative storm surge."  You could basically walk across Tampa Bay -- although not advisable.
