Snubby Summit
« on: November 29, 2005, 03:08:53 PM »
This weekend I am attending a 2-day "Snubby Summit" in Titusville.  Some of the best snub revolver trainers are gathering for seminar-style classroom and live fire training specific to snub revolvers: Mas Ayoob, Jim Cirillo, Ed Lovette, South Narc, Michael DeBethencourt and others.

Should be a whole lot of info.  They told me to bring 500 rounds.  If we shoot anywhere near that, I will be darn impressed (and likely darn sore too).

I am bringing my trusty, plain-jane S&W 642 and see how it goes...

Anyone else going?  ;)

I would attend but I'm afraid it would muddy up my R9 auto training! ::) :o ;D :'(

I sure would like to go, but do not have a revolver.  Also, no money.

Actually, it might be full -- not sure.  But it was a bargain -- two days, plus two lunches and a dinner for $235!  Can't beat that for training these days with name brand trainers.

Hi Duane,

Man, I really wanted to go to that: Ayoob, Cirillo, Stanford and Gomez, all in one room. The price was great, too.

Problem is that I'm just travelling too much in December (San Diego next week; South Beach the week before Christmas) - I need to be at the office.  :(

Have a great time and write us up a good report, would you?

cheers, erich

I second Erich's motion.  Wish I could attend.

Why do the NorthEast Shooters have to hold an event in Florida?  Grrrr....

Now, if it was Florida, NY, I'd be first in line to attend.  But NY doesn't welcome handgun owners quite as freely as FL does... I can easily get a permit to carry there, but no one from any other state can carry here.  So, I guess we won't be hosting too many events like this one.  Still, Vermont allows anyone to carry, and I would happily drive across the border to a training there.

Please do tell us what the experts say are the pros and cons of a snubby vs. a semi-auto.  Obviously we all have our opinions, but I'm curious what the trainers will say on the topic.  And if any of the other events are especially interesting, give us the highlights.  Thanks in advance.
