Thanks to all for the help and advice.  Robert, really appreciate the ballistic info.  MRC, agree that neither caliber should be primary carry unless no other choice.  My primary is a Kimber Ultra CDPII .45 or an SP101 in .357, depending.  The R9  is, as my handle suggests, mostly (but not always) backup.  The Seecamp could be a backup to the R9 in either caliber, but I mostly just admire the jewel-like beauty and quality and want it for that reason.  I'll keep looking and get whichever caliber come up at the right time I guess.

Speaking of "jewel-like" Seecamps, permit me again to display the LWS32 with pre-ban ivory grips that my beloved little wife found in my gun safe and promptly "requisitoned" for herself:
