Wanderer:
I'm sorry for your loss Eric. My mom died last Sunday so I can imagine that you are feeling similar to how I am. I hope that you can look back on the time spent with her and remember the good times and that it will help offset some of the sorrow you and your family are feeling.
cargaritaville:
Eric: Your mom led a great life I'm sure. I'm also sure that you and your brother took great care of her which resulted in her living so many wonderful years. That will give you some peace. So sorry for your loss.
backupr9:
Sorry for your loss Eric and Karl. I hope this helps:
DON’T GRIEVE FOR ME (Thresiamma Abraham)
Don't grieve for me, for I'm free
I'm following the path God laid for me
I took his hand when I heard his call,
I turned my back and left it all.
I could not stay another day,
To laugh, to love, to work or play
Tasks left undone must stay that way,
I've found that peace at the close of day.
If my parting has left a void,
Then fill it with remembered joy,
A friendship shared, a laugh, a kiss,
Ah, yes, these things I too will miss.
Be not burdened with times of sorrow,
I wish you the sunshine of tomorrow,
My life's been full, I savored much
Good friends, good times, a loved one's touch.
Perhaps my time seemed all too brief
Don't lengthen it now with undue grief
Lift up your hearts and share with me,
God wanted me now, He has set me free.
ECR:
Thank you to all who responded. To Wanderer: I'm sorry to hear about the loss of your Mother also.
I'm sure she is in a better place and resting now. Bless you, your Mother, and your family.
Eric R.
DDGator:
I responded personally to Eric, but wanted you all to know that I had the fortune of meeting Eric's mother and, of course, hearing many stories from him about her and her influence on the family. She was a wonderful matriarch of a proud family. My best wishes to the whole family in this difficult time.
