Two last interesting photos
« on: October 09, 2004, 11:49:39 PM »
Two photos I took at the factory that didn't fit in anywhere else.

This is an unfinished cut-out of aluminium grip panels.  Those who have been following Rohrbaugh for a while will remember that the original prototypes had silver colored aluminum grips.

For those who have asked -- here it is -- a stainless steel R-9 frame!  This was a very early prototype frame.  It had a standard button type mag release (not shown).  This one was also cut under the trigger guard for the patented safe gun technology lock that was later dropped.

Thx Duane.

I have mentioned before - I can hardly begin to guess at the vast expenses incurred with R&D and prototyping earlier on.  This pup has been thru many metamorphoses on the route to what we see now.
