First day with the new pup
« on: June 11, 2009, 09:30:04 PM »
After about a ten week wait, I finally picked up my new R9S today. FFL lives in the country with a nice range in the backyard. No stripping and cleaning first, just loaded the magazines and started firing.
Absolutely perfect with WWB, Gold Dots, and Speer Lawman, all in 115 gr. Recoil wasn't bad at all, although I think about 50 rounds is enough!
My friend did notice that with WWB, the ejected casings went everywhere, but with the Speers, they all went in the same spot. Not that this matters at all, I just found it curious. Trigger pull wasn't bad in the beginning, but towards the end was buttery smooth.
Needless to say, I'm extremely satisfied!
