Title: Changing the stainless slide to black?

I own a early model r9s stainless slide gray body and blue grips I want a black slide and try to possible find some one that has a set of black carbon grips they will part with. But my question is can I send my slide back to the factory and will they black it out like the stealth and does anyone have a contact person to talk to about this

Call the factory and most likely a wonderful lady named Maria will assist you.  If you have to leave a message, give her the details.  She actually RETURNS messages!

well I contacted the factory today and sadly they have said there unable to do it :(

there are cutom shops out there who will do your slide in Melonite QPQ  cost is $150-$200 dollars for a whole gun so i have no idea how much it would be for just a slide  ;D
